Though having challenges with low vision, with eye Care support from Benita Eye Clinic, she enrolled in the accessible computer program as well as making of fashion accessories. With this skill, she has been gainfully employed.

Born without limbs, Promise faced a lot of discrimination but struggled to go through school. She was enrolled in our 2013 VGIF assisted Income Generation for Women and Girls through Skills Training Project. “After my father’s death, things became very difficult as my mother was bed-ridden and could no longer farm for us to survive.

I used to be so ashamed of myself because I could not help my mother and siblings in any way because of my disability. But after E-Enable program, I feel confident of myself. They gave me a knitting machine and I make cardigans for people”.
